Name Change!

Hi everybody,

I changed my name to Poohbear. It use to be Queen B, but I had a cavy named Queenie and I felt like I was forgetting about my other cavies. That sad news is that Queenie and Princess were actually on hold for someone else and I was not sopose to get them so I had to give them back to the shelter so they could give them to the other family. Thanks PooH

So they let you adopt these two girls and then made you give them back? That is utterly stupid of this shelter to do.

Yes I know Ly, I am not going back to that shelter again. I will look for another one in the yellow pages.

I do not know? I am not mad, the assistant did not know.

How long did you have them for?

Only a day so I was not really attached to them.

Oh, then thats ok. I thought you had them for longer

I didn't just one day. I still have my Honey and Coco and they are doing fine and love their roomy cage.

That's really odd. If you paid an adoption fee and signed an adoption contract, then the guinea pigs were legally yours. Kind of makes you wonder if that shelter is engaging in some shady practices ....

The assistant probably didn't know that they were held back for somebody else

If they made you give them back because of their goof, I'd insist on my money back if I paid them any fees.

I let them keep it. They need the money for the shelter. It was not the assistants fault, she just did not know. Now Honey and Coco share a a 4x6.

Yes I agree with Piglet. Today I was in the car and I saw a sign called CAVY SHOW TODAY 9-4. I wanted to see how they treated the pigs and to see how snotty the breeders were. It was horrible. The cavies were seperated in spaces that were like 5-6 inches and they were on wire flooring. It was horrible! It made me so sick and sad. I so some cute little piggies on top of eachother. It was so sad. I over heard some breeders talking and saying that they were going to kill the ones that did not sell.

OMG, that must have been awful for you. Stupid breeders, what kind of a hobby is that?!

I know it was horrible. It made me want to throw-up and take all the piggies away. Who with the right mind would want to breeed animals for a living.

I went on Petfinder and I saw these cute piggies. One is all black like Furlong and then their is another one that is brown and white. I will post pics if I get them. Hopefully I will. It is a 2 hour drive to the rescue.

I know... even when you put forward your argument about how many homeless animals there are, they don't listen. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I bred any animal, becuase in the back of my mind I would know that there are thousands waiting for a new home in rescue centres. Hundreds waiting who will be put down....
