I've got a lot to do today. I have my son, who is two, helping me. Already today, he picked up his letters, and is picking up his blocks, and helped me to feed the birds. It won't be long until he's feeding cilantro to the piggies... well, maybe a little longer.
He's such a great kid. I'm so happy I'm teaching him from such a young age how to respect and care for animals. Of course, I'll be responsible for the petting zoo, but every opportunity is one to teach and learn.
He's having a great time going to the zoo during off-peak hours. This gives him the chance to run around a bit AND the chance to watch the zoo keepers as they clean and feed all the residents. It's very cool.
