My pigs have learned english!

Yesterday we're at the dinner table which is right next to the pig cage. All during dinner the pigs are quiet. Then my 4 year old asks if he can have an apple. The minute he said the word "apple" the pigs started sqealing like crazy.

They usually only do this when I open the fridge door so I'm thinking they recognized the word "apple." Needless to say, we obliged the clever little creatures and gave them what they wanted.

Nope, the other end of the house.. They have a fridge in their room though, so eh... They know when they're getting fed no matter what, just the /click/ gets them going.

Same here. If I click, they'll run to the side of the cage and beg and wheek. However, I taught them to do this! Everytime I feed them I click my fingers

Our pigs understand Hay, but more generally, every time we're bringing food we make an ooouh sound, which sends them crazy. Also, they get fed at the same time, near enough, every night, and they must have an amazing body clock, because as we approach that time, they start to go crazy. Say we are on the pc or something and haven't started the food yet, when it get's to half nine, ten o clock, they ll remind us.

Same here. They have an amazing body clock! Every morning at 7am sharp they start to squeek. THe same happens in the evening. Its so cute
