HI!!!! I've been posting for quite a while and I think you should learn a little about my piggy! Her name is Tuck. Don't ask, I didn't name her. She is an abby. She is mostly white with brown around one of her eyes and the other has light brown around it. Her cage is 3' by 2' and has a second floor. She is about 1 and a half years old. Her favorite food is cabbage and apples. Oh yeah she likes lemons too!! She drinks a lot of water and sheds too. I can't find timothy hay so I could use some help on where I can find it. Oh yeah, and you can see a picture but I'm still trying to figure out how to get her pic up there.

Cavy slave,

Welcome to the site. Your pig sounds really cute. Do you feed her dark leafy greens? Spinich, romane lettuce, green leaf, kale, cilantro, dandilion greens, fresh grasses, ect.. are better for your cavy then Cabbage. Cabbage really is not the best for your pig to eat. There is a lot of info in this site that will help you be the best cavy owner. I am sure that your little pig loves you much. Are you going to get your pig a friend? :0)

Hi. Nice to meet you and your piggy. How long have your had your piggy? I agree with Funnygpigs, stay away from the cabbage and apples. They can be fed moderately. Try out some of the other veggies that are listed throughout this site.

Nice to have you on board.

Welcome Tuck4ever22! I'm out in Hawaii so I can't help you with a local hay distributor, but if you can do mail order try Kleenmama's hay. A lot of the folks on this forum love her stuff: (broken link removed)

My girls like Oxbow's orchard grass. It's less stemmy than the timothy I can find around here and it's okay for adult pigs to have all the time.
