My little guinea pig may be pregnant, now what?

I inherited a male guinea pig from a neighbour. My mother decided to bring home another male in hopes that they would be friends. Turns out he is a she. I decided to keep her and neuter my male. Lately she's quite big from the middle down and drinks a lot suggesting she may be pregnant. My guinea pig didn't touch her but she probably was kept with males before hand since they couldn't even sex her properly. She might be 5 weeks at the most and is really tiny. Should she be pregnant, what are the chances of her successfully giving birth?

Welcome to the club

I bought a guinea pig and found out it was surely a SHE when we had a litter. We only had that guinea pig..no mistake on sexing. She was about 5 weeks when we got her. She was barely bigger than the babies we have that are now 3 1/2 weeks old.

We fed her well in the interim. We adore Buddy, and played with her alot. She got lots of fresh veggies as well as pellets and the vitamin C drops. Which under normal circumstances her diet is providing, but we didn't know better yet. She kept getting fatter and fatter. Then one morning there were babies. She's been an awesome mom. We were lucky she was healthy and able to birth on her own(good thing cause we just thought her to fat). NOt all piggies are so lucky. I'd suggets reading what Briana told you, and finding a vet that is knowledgeable on piggies, so if there are any issues, you'll have some one ready.
