My cat proof C&C cage

I've at last got some photos of my C&C cage, you can see them here (broken link removed)

The cage is 2x6 with a 1x6 upper level, it can easily be closed to make it cat or dog proof. I used around 150 heavy duty cable ties (zip ties) to fasten the cubes and it has wooden stiffening so it is extremely strong.

We originally built it as two 2x3 cages one each for Zack and Humbug, however Humbug died a few weeks back and Zack is happy to share space with his new buddy Ajax so we've been able to cut doorways between the cages...

I'm perhaps too proud of it - sometimes I get so carried away showing friends the cage that I almost forget to introduce them to the Guinea Pigs!

cat proof cage

your cage is awesome! what did you line the ramp with? I cant figure out what to line my ramp and shelf with that cujo won't eat! Thanks for any info.

The ramp is lined with carpet tile (I had a bundle spare), they heven't tried eating it...
The carpet is cable tied to the ramp except for the bottom six inches, my boys used to pee on the bottom of thier ramps so I have a load of chunks of carpet tile that I use on the bottom and wash as necessary.
