Not sure who it was, but someone resently asked about how my cage was set up since I dont use coroplast and I told them next time I changed out the fleece I would post on it. So for whomever it was who asked about it, here you go.
Instead of using coroplast, I went to homedepot, and bought non stainable, water, mildew and mold proof white wall board for around $19-$20, which is what I put down as the floor. To clean it I just use kitchen disinfecting wipes. They cut it to the dementions that I needed.
On top of the of the wall board, I have been putting two layers of uhual pads, however now that there's four guinea pigs in the cage, I used three layers for extra absorption this time. Once the uhaul pads are down, I put the sides up which are also made out of the same material as the floor is, directly on the uhaul pads to give me a few more inches of hight and at the same time prevent pee from seeping underneith the sides.
Finally I try as best as I can, to evenly place the fleece in the cage so it goes evenly over the sides, which sometimes I do a better job at it the other times. I clip both to the grides via binder clips and voila the change over is completely. From start to finish it usually takes me 20-25 minutes for the fleece switch and cleaning.
