I have two boars living together right now--one is 5 months old (Corki), one is 2.5 months old (Rumble). Both of them are very enthusiastic about veggies when their breakfast & dinner come. They seem to have no issues at all eating.
However, I periodically have been finding a lot of mushy/disintegrated pellets in their food bowls, one bowl moreso than the other. I can't tell which pig it's related to because they share both bowls. What I've found in my research so far says it's a tooth issue, and that they're mouthing the pellets before spitting them out. But they have no issues at all with eating any vegetables, regardless of how big/small/crunchy/soft they are.
When Rumble (2.5mo) was younger, he used to need to sit on the edge of his bowl to get to the pellets, and I'd find evidence of urine which would lead to gross pellets. Could this still be the case? There doesn't seem to be any staining on the bowl (it's white ceramic) so I'm not sure if he's still doing that.
