Hello all,

I'm new here, and new to adult owning of Guinea pigs. I got my Duncan at a pet store about a week ago, as there aren't any rescues near me, they told me that one pig was fine, and their paperwork re-enforced that, obviously after more in depth research, I now realized that was wrong. I want to get another pig, but right now I'm not sure how to go about things. So I have questions.

1. Is it too early to introduce another piggy? Would it overwhelm him? Should I give him more time to get used to things?

2. I want to get him a bigger cage, I bought the biggest cage I could find at the store at the time, but now I've come to realize, it's simply not big enough for him. Should I wait? He's still just getting used to his cage, would it be prudent to wait a few weeks before getting a new cage so that he doesn't go through shock again? Maybe introduce both pigs to the new cage at the same time? I wish I had the room for a C&C cage, but It's limited space, and right now he is on a large dresser, but there is room to expand, just not onto the floor.

Thank you all for your help
