menapause for guinea pigs???

hi I havent written for a while but i do have a another question. I rescued a pretty older girl, she about 4 years old my question is, can she still become pregnate? She is blind and does well with what she has but she hates to be alone, she can just sence it I think. She has a brother who is 6 months old and humps anything that moves. Can they be together? is she over having babies? I just feel so bad shes all by herself and very lonely!

Yes she can still get pregnant. And if she does, then she will have difficulty with giving birth because her pelvic bones would have fused if she has not already given birth before.


Why not neuter the male, or get her another female friend?

Yes, all females that have not been spayed can get pregnant. Consider getting her another girl to play with or have her brother neutered. It's the only safe way to go as there is a chance of a pregnant sow dying! Good luck, thanks for asking before doing anything. =)
