I do have the same compulsion to rake Japanese patterns in it (it's much better than Carefresh for that as the particle size is smaller) so it's good to know that I'm not completely insane!

Hehehe - or could be that we are both completely insane! :cheerful:

Glad to hear that it's worked for you long term - I have one opened sack, and have two more ordered - so will get through them , then make up my mind whether or not to continue. So far so good - the smell does seem to have dispersed, and as it only takes up a relatively small portion of my cage, I have yet to be covered in the stuff when extracting piggies!

I found Megazorb to be dusty too. I stopped using it only because I didn't really need it! I prefer Carefresh although it was as absorbant as Megazorb. My only big issue with Megazorb is that it is very fine and I found that my boars collected alot of it and I was worried about impaction.

I brought home the two bags I ordered today - for £5.20 each. Humph - I thought I'd found the cheapest! :)

I have just spot cleaned the wet patches a couple of times so far, and added more megazorb. I agree with you stubblychin that compressing it (I just used my dustpan) helps - though I haven't had a dust problem, it stops so much being trailed onto the fleece (whilst providing a very modern 'concrete' look!)

Sorry, I meant I was told it was made from citrus wood pulp, not citrus pulp. Yeah, it sounded strange to me too! Flattening the megazorb was no use for me, my pigs think it's tremendous fun to run to that end of the cage, slam on the brakes and swing their rear ends round to head off in the other direction, at the same time causing megazorb to go in all directions! Aaaargh. My hay arrangement is working..if it ain't broke.
