Photos Meet Sheldon...Calvins twin brother!

A while back I posted photos of my Sheltie Calvin. Well, Calvin came out of a bad situation. So now about a week ago I learn that this family still has Calvins twin brother!

I've been fighting for about a week to get this boy away from them! He is now a lone piggie, living outside with no cage and eating mielies and hamster food.

Anyway, long story short I finally got them to hand him over! He has just had a bath and a brush and clip. Off to the vet soon and then 3 weeks of quarintine then he can be with his brother again.

He was! I had to cut paint out of his hair!!! Anyway, the vet says he is all healthy as far as he can tell except for a small but deep wound on his belly. Vet says it looks like a ciggarette burn! I got antibiotics and cream for it. He is also very thin so we need to get him on some good foodies.

Quick question: the last time I introduced two boars there was a lot of chattering and then suddenly they would both go and lay down in different corners of the cage and just lay there...What does this mean? Also when one of them approached the other ones corner they would start to jump and chatter again?

Awww...such sweet boys. That is just normal getting to know you stuff that piggies do to determine who's going to be boss. There is some great info on introdutions but I can't post them from this iPad.

This is Sheldon all cleaned up and having his first proper meal! He is currently in the bath tub until his cage is ready. Just an hour or so.

That is a beautiful piggie. What a lucky fellow to find a loving, safe home. Thank you for rescuing him.

He is such a cool little dude...Just like his brother! I can't wait for the quarintine period to be over so he can be with his brother again. I'm just a bit worried about the deep wound on his belly!
