I never thought I'd need to post one of these threads because it seems pretty straightforward I've sexed 7 females before and they were all easy to see. I've only ever seen one male and he was very obvious as well.
So when I found this lovely agounti at the shelter I thought she'd be easy to verify......
The shelter swears she's a female, I looked and thought-no, that's a male.
I did the push test-nothing. I did it again, nothing. The worker said she was sure it was a female. I wanted to believe her. The pig's teets are very long which I know is not a big deal since they both have teets.
I did the push test again. Nothing popped out and it wasn't the classic Y or "dotted Y"
I took "her" because I WANTED to believe she was a she LOL
But I know that was pretty dumb really.
So here you go:
It's more like a "fold of skin" vs a tube that is confusing me. And I've done the "push test" 3 or 4 x now!
So weigh in because I certainly can't put my girls together unless I'm 100% sure! (After the quarantine of course)
