Male guinea pig in NC

I belong to another forum and one of the girls who I talk to works at an animal shelter in Raleigh, NC. They have a male guinea pig there, he has been there 2-3 weeks and no one wants to adopt him. His adoption fee is $15 without the cage, $30 with the cage. Julie, the person I talk to online, says he is a sweetie and cuddles a lot. He does eat veggies as well. She said he stands up against the cage and wheeks when he knows it is time to be fed too.
