Liners Made a cage liner!

I have gotten more comfortable with my sewing machine and decided to make cage liners. I really the the binder clip method. It's hard for me to reach one side of the cage and I hate the way they look.

It took me about one evening to make one cage liner. I've made a couple already and plan to make many more in the next week.

Do any of you that make liners have any tips or tricks that would make the whole process easier/faster. Stuff that you learned through experience? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you! I am so excited to make more! Some of the stuff I have made my girls has come out a little funky, but my girls don't seem to mind.

Also, so, I see you have an extension. Do you find any extra mess since it's not one whole piece of coro, but two separate sections?

It looks GREAT!!! You did an awesome job. I think your cage is great. Do they track much mess onto the fleece? Mine track so much mess! Maybe I should try your method and do a ramp to the kitchen instead of a cut out.

I have a very large foldable cardboard thing with measurements. I laid my fleece down and put the cardboard on top. My son helped hold it flat while I traced around it. I did this with the uhaul pad also. Then I just got to sewing.

The two separate pieces of coro is never a problem because I binder clip them together. They aren't clipped together in the picture because I got too excited about never using clips again.

The mess usually stays contained to the kitchen.

thanks! My little guys love to play with binder clips. I had them on some of the coro to hold down the plastic binder spines (so they wouldn't chew). I could hear them flipping them up and down. I just recently rearranged, so haven't put the binders on or the clips yet. I'm interested in something like this because I haven't decided if I like upper levels.
