lying on top of waste

I have a 3 month old guinea pig. It seems he likes to lay on top of the place that he does his pee/poo. Is this normal? I use care fresh for bedding, spot clean every day and totally clean once a week, but it is still very obvious which spot he prefers to do his stuff in. I just was concerned about him lying around in his waste. Thanks for your help.

It's perfectly normal for piggies to lay where they go potty. I would just keep doing what your doing as far as spot cleaning. Maybe if you tried putting a small cat litter pan in that particular spot with some soiled bedding in it he may start using the pan as a potty box.

Well, that's a relief! I did try to put a little pan with soiled bedding in it hoping that would encourage him, but he just changed his "special" place. Thanks, though. At least I don't have to worry.
