Loud birds and piggies

Hello I am a new user and new mom to two new piggies. I adopted Lucky about a month ago and over the two weeks I decided to get her a friend (Timbit like the donut) after reading so much about the social life of guinea pigs. They are both doing well and I have expanded their living space so much that they have taken over the living room. It so happens that we've got budgies as well and those guys yack and scream all day and I was wondering whether the girls are freaked out about this considering they sleep during the day. However, I've seen the girls sleep eventhough the birds are yapping away and in addition, the noise is not constant because the birds are quiet once it gets dark.

I want to make sure this is ok to keep them together b/c I have no other place to put them. Please reply I would appreciate all responses

my pigs love birds! they chuckle to them all the time! i don't think it disturbs them. i don't really think any noise annoys them much.

My pigs don't seem to be bothered by loud noises, it's sudden noises they dislike. I have two small children, who of course are noisy and they don't care. They even come right up to the hoover when I'm cleaning the cage (they have floortime while I do it) They run when it first comes on but then are fine.
As birds hunt pigs in the wild the only problem I think there might be with birds is if the birds where flying over the pigs. As you properly know even you coming down from above is frightening for them.

Yes, I have to agree with both of your posts. I think sudden noises are more of a distraction than the birds themselves.
