Pigsitting Looking for sitter who can hand feed

I'm thinking about taking a vacation for a few days, but I'm worried about leaving one of my pigs. She's on hyperthyroid medication and as I'm working on getting her weight up or at least stable, I have to hand feed her 2 - 3 times per day and has her medication twice a day. i called the exotic vets around me and they won't board guinea pigs. Does anyone else have any ideas?

The only vacation I've been taking recently is to visit my mother, so I usually bring her along since it's only a two hour drive, so I can't plan anything until I have a plan.

See if someone on the staff of the exotic vets around you would be willing to take her while you're gone. I have a friend here who's done that several times when she's had to go out of town and needed someone to care for her pigs. She just asked at the vet's office, and one of the techs volunteered.

There are also several guinea pig rescues around on the east coast. One of them might take her for a few days.
