I would like to add a loft to my Midwest cage. How would I do that? Here is a picture of my cage. I'm getting ready to clean it. I'm also wanting to do something different for the bedding in the "kitchen" just cause the fleece gets nastier over there. If I do a loft then the kitchen will be moved up there. 20160125_235816.jpg20160125_235830.jpg

Try wood pellets with no fleece in the kitchen.

Instead of making a loft, why dont you try adding another cage to make one big level? Ground level floor space is much more important than higher levels. And itll be easier for you, since midwests arent exactly easy to expand unless youre using another of their cages. :)

We don't have room for another cage. This on is in my daughters room and she doesn't have the room.

I'd remove the divider. Leave in the kitchen tray to contain some of the hay. Removing the divider will offer more space to run laps.
