This is a question for any one who uses linolium, or knows about it- Does linolium work well? Is it as good as coroplast??? Any tips on how to clean linolium etc? Basically anything you know about linolium..
Thanks in advance

I've used linoleum for my 2X3 cage. I had some extra in the garage and so it helped save a few dollars. I've been happy with it. I had trouble at first with making the corners since it doesn't quite bend the same as coroplast but I just filled the corners with extra newspaper so my piggy doesn't climb between the linoleum corner and the grids...and I staple gunned the "flaps" to make the corners. I've also used twisty ties to secure the sides to the grid - I just poked holes in the linoleum and fed the twiste tie through. I thought I'd have to replace it faster with coroplast because I figured my piggy would start chewing on the linoleum. But to my surprise she hasn't! I clean the linoleum with water and white vinegar on the weekends and then put newspaper covered with fleece as the bedding. I think it's a pretty good alternative to coroplast.

Ok well I would piecing a 2x3 cage together out of 12"x12" tiles of linolium. I think it should work and be cheaper than a peice of coroplast.

you would probably need like 10 pieces, and thats 10 dollars, right? Theres a place in oregon near us that sells coroplast at 8.98 for a 4 foot by 6 foot sheet. I think that is a lot cheaper (and its coroplast! though it only comes in white at this price). It is the first listing in oregon on this website, under the where can i find materials? page. Tell me if you need help getting the addres and contact numbers, cuz i'll get it for you.

Ok I will look there, um no it would be five dollars, 3 peices for a dollar. And I decided to get five packs. And they are at the dollar store and the dollar store is like 2 miles or 5 from my house.

I looked and I think because of gas prices, I will probably use the linolium (since it's so close to me), but if I make a drive out to that area then I will definantly stop and go there. They have great prices!! It's just that I am trying to save money (for the rescue and other stuff). Thanks so much for telling me about that place!!! I will probably end up going there and getting coroplast, just because it's such a great deal!!!!!
Thanks again =)

no problem

I think linoleum is great. Do you know the file spines that you can get (you put paper in them), well I used those to put on the linoleum that acted as a side. Take a look at my pic, maybe it will make more sense.

I like and use linolium in my cage. I got it for free. I don't like that when you bend it too much it will rip. If you do decide to use coroplast then you could wait till the elections are over and pick up the signs or call the partys and ask them if you can have their signs to save some money. I kinda do want to swich to coroplast or have some corners with coroplast so I can put stuff in the corners. The linolium wooks fine though. I put mine together how you put the coroplast together with the sides and stuff.

To clean it I just put a dusting pan in then I scoop out the shavings. Once all the shavings are out I spray water viniger solution then wipe it off.
