Lethargic Guinea Pig

Hi my friend has just one guinea pig, and it is pretty boring. It just sits in the same spot all day long, and if we take it out for some floor time it just sits in the same spot the entire time. I have heard that guinea pigs like to run around and play a lot if they have a companion or two. Can someone please clear this up for me. I want an active animal and I was planning on getting three guinea pigs. Please reply. If you want to AIM me my AIM is avengedphish.

Hey, its not the pigs fault it boring, its the owners. Of course it will just sit around all day if it does not have a companion! Three is a good number, and I advise you telling your friend to get another one.

Don't worry, you'll get more action than you expected when you get three - constant talking, chasing, threatening, munching and popcorning. The poor lonely pig has no buddy to play with and is probably not boring but BORED as hell.
