That's great. But you still need to change the newspaper often to keep it clean & dry.

One pig
Pet store cage, large, but making larger cage
Pine bedding, tons of hay, but need to buy bales
Change every week at the least, some time less, I don't notice the smell somethimes.

I want to get another pig, so mine won't be lonely, but he fights. He has been used for breeding before, is that the possible problem.

One other thing is I don't spot clean, should I?

Yes, you should spot clean. It saves tons of money, and you don't have to change the whole cage as often.

Pine bedding's not great Sagwa. It can cause URIs. Try aspen! =)

Try seeing how he does with a spayed sow, or neuter him and get a sow. My boar fights with other boys but loves girls.

Can I just ask how deep are you guys spreading the litter stuff? Seems like we go through quite a bit -- but perhaps we're putting in a deeper layer. Also -- as I haven't seen corncob mentioned -- Is there some reason? Have any of you tried it and liked something else better? We use a combo of paper on the bottom, then corncob litter, then timothy hay on top (pig loves to burrow in the hay).

It causes mold, can be fatal if ingested, and isn't too absorbent at all. Also, if you use the hay, be sure to change it often so that the pigs don't decide to eat it if it's moldy or been peed on. I love aspen! Fleece works well if you're willing to change their bedding every day. Carefresh is awesome, only it's way expensive!

Yep corn cob is no good! Works great for birds though. I think it is intentionally meant for birds but the companies just put other animals on their to make more money..... Just my opinion....
