Injury Leg/chest injury?

The other day I had Squint on the floor, and i touched between his left leg and chest area and he lunged/snapped at me. At first I figured I had somehow annoyed him, so i did it again to check, and he did the same thing. I touched it one more time to be sure, and for a third time he snapped at me. He didn't squeak or anything, but I saw him lunge, and click his teeth together. What could that mean?

If he is being nippy, then I would definitely get a closer look and maybe, if possible, take a picture? Maybe you can use gloves to take a quick check. It will be uncomfortable, but if you nip it in the bud ASAP, it will make things go over better.

Did you feel anything when you were touching that area?

No, I didn't see or feel anything. No lumps, bumps, baldness or rash. That's why I thought it was so weird.
