since finding this website, i have become OBSESSED!, my cage has doubled in size and i have plans for it to double again! i have sewn cozies and all sorts for them, the only thing i hadnt made for them was something to hold their hay, as i am overly obsissive at keeping their cage clean, hay on fleece was a very big problem! heres what i came up with...
btw im sorry if i have copied your idea, i havnt seen one like this or even similar to this but i might have missed it...
INSTRUCTIONS!
1. choose your fabric (i used cotton)
2. cut 10 lengths about an inch and a half wide and as long as you want your net to be wide
3. cut 4 small lengths, about the same width (these will be the hangers)
4. cut a really long length(this will go all the way around the edge
5. fold your lengths in half and sew along the edge(but not too close) and dont sew the really long one, you'll need that later!
6. turn them inside out(tip: i used the end of a wooden spoon)
7. arrange your net (pin in to place), i weaved mine but you dont have to!
8. fold the really long one in half and pin the edges of the net betwen the two layers
9.pin the hangers in the corners or where ever you want them
10. you are ready to sew! sew all the way along the edge and sew a couple of stictch where the peices cross, just to hold them in place.
ask me any questions, im not very good at explaining stuff^^ but i wanted to share my idea
ohh and heres my sweet little candy eating the hay underneith... i will have to tech her how to use it! thanks.
again sorry if this is your idea, as far as i know i havnt copied anyone
