Does anyone know how much the cubes are in the Kleeneze Catalogue? And also how many you get?

Also I was just looking at the find materials page on this site and someone posted this:

These are not the cube grids talked about on this site, but i used them perfectly. They are PVC coated mesh panels, 0.6m x 0.9m. holes are 5cm wide. you can easily cut them to size with metal snips. go to the garden section of homebase and you'll find them.

Does anyone know how much these cost each?

Candi, you get 13 cubes in the catalogue. They are 19.99 but the postage and packaging may be a couple of quid.

Hi Candi,

I recently made my piggies some cages using the wire mesh panels from Homebase. They cost £5.49 for one sheet but my cage, which is 6ft by 2ft, only needed three of them to make it. Each grid is 3ft by 2ft and for the length of the cage I just cut one grid in half. For the width I used the last sheet of wire and cut two end bits for my cages which were each 2ft long by a foot high. The correx cost me £12 for a sheet which was 7ft by 3ft, so I managed to make my piggies a lovely big cage for just under £30. I have looked everywhere for cubes and just can't find them, and I couldn't afford the price that they were selling for on e-bay so I did the next best thing and thought about ideas for my own. The help from this website has been really valuable to me and I couldn't of done it without it. I attached the wire to the correx using cable ties and they have worked really well. I hope this information helps you and that you are able to make a cage for your piggies.

I now have some very happy popcorning piggies!

Thanks so much for posting about these :) I'm going to have a look in my local Homebase soon. Thank You!! :)

Hi,

I forgot to say that you can find the wire mesh in the garden section of Homebase. That will save you hunting round the whole store trying to find it! Good luck :)

LOL, ok great thanks :)

Oh great!( I went to homebase today to try and find cubes, they didn't have any.. I wasn't surprised. If I had've seen this thread sooner I would have searched for that other material!( maybe next weekend I'll be allowed to go again...

Aw, I'm sorry! Keep on persevering - it took me ages to find mine

well I had a look last weekend. We went into a big homebase this time so I thought if they didn't sell them, I will never find any. They didn't. I found some of that wire mesh but the holes were quite big so I'm not sure it was the right stuff. I ordered the Kleeneze catalougue and it's arriving today. With the amount I need all my money is going to disappear, but I'd rather spend it on the guinea pigs than myself!

The holes in the mesh are about the same size as they are on the cube grids. I made a cage from the grids at homebase, here is a picture of it: (broken link removed)

what is the kleeneze addy?

I think I'll get grids rather than mesh. I'll have to get a lot though as I don't just have one or two pigs! The mag came today, I showed mum and she agrees with me in getting them. I'm not sure how I'll have the cages yet though. Here is the Kleeneze addy (broken link removed)

Did you order the magazine or did it just come in the post? I like the mesh, such a good alternative

I ordered the mag. I filled out the form online and it came no longer than a week later.

i filled it out two weeks ago and im still waiting.

One of their agents from your area will pop the catalogue through your door, if there isn't an agent in your area then you may not get a catalogue. That could be what happened to you bromers.

Try phoning them in the week.

Hiya

It took Kleeneze around 2 or 3 weeks to get a catalogue distributor to my house! I had almost given up hope by that time!

Once I had the catalogue, I ordered and my grids came in less than a week!

Ripley, was there a postage and packaging charge on the grids? How many do you get from Kleeneze and how much are they?

There is no postage and packing charge on the grids. Kleeneze send out the package to your local distributor, and the distributor will drop it to your house personally.

I think you get 13 grids for £19.99, so it's not especially cheap, but it's useful for the people who really can't find them anywhere else!
