Kitty Litter in Ferrets litter pan?

Should I use kitty litter for my ferrets litter pan? I tried it for a little bit (1 hour) and he isn't potty trained. But as soon as kitty litter was in the pan, he was automatically litter trained. Weird. I took the kitty litter out for a bit more research.

By the way, the reason I say this in form of a singular ferret is because Rodolfo and Otis are housed seperatly. Rodolfo is having no problem with just YN but Otis hates it.

Cat litter is not appropriate as ferret litter. Try Super Pet's Critter Litter.

Okay. At the moment, that's what I just bought. As I said in the earlier post, I wasn't using it on him, just testing it. He hates the critter litter too though. This is confusing....

Try Feline Pine or wood stove pellets.
