I have all of my materials for a C&C cage. Picked up the coroplast after work and the grids are coming tomorrow.

I am wanting to add a kitchen area for ease of cleaning and was thinking of using an appropriately sized cardboard box with a hole cut in the side as a doorway.

Beatrice has been living her life, prior to me, in a small cage. So I am worried that she won't be able to find her food if it isn't in the main cage area. Is this a valid concern? How can I help her adjust?

A piggy will find their food, not to worry lol My suggestion though would be to make it out of leftover coroplast instead of cardboard. The cardboard will get soggy and pee soaked in no time.

Here's what I did and it works out great! The kitchen - Guinea Pig Cage Photos

Here was an earlier incarnation of it with a cut out storage bin New hay rack - Guinea Pig Cage Photos

Hey there, FireyOne!

Do you have any step-by-step written instructions for how to create one of those? I've been meaning to put one together myself since I came home from vacation, but between house-sitting for a week and then going full-force back to work, I haven't had the opportunity. I'm not the greatest at just being able to look at a photograph and then create one, even though it seems like a very common-sense way to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The piggies right now just have the hay stuck in a pile where they insist on peeing and pooping, and mashing it altogether on their fleece. Yucky. Hehe.
