Kay Kob bedding from Kaytee?
Hi!
Just wanted to know what you all thought of this particular bedding. I've been using it for the past 2 weeks or so, and I love it! It really sucks in the moisture, and it doesn't cling to clothing the way Pine, Aspen, or even Carefresh can.
I think the major thing that I had heard about Kay Kob is that it's rough on piggie feet. However, after two weeks of being on this bedding, I'm still checking the bottoms of their little paws and they're in just as good shape as they were when the boys were on pine or carefresh. (BTW, the reason I switched to Kay Kob was that it's a *lot* cheaper for me than carefresh, and I kept feeling uneasy about using Pine...)
This type bedding also doesn't give off a smell, I have found. Of course, I change the bedding twice a week, so if you change bedding once a week, I'm not sure how the smells might be after a full week.
Another plus - if you get a slotted kitty litter scooper, and skim it across the top of the beddind, you can pick up a lot of poops for a nice once-a-day surface clean.
That's just my two cents -- how about ya'll?
