I know many people here are opposed to outdoor cages, but it is my only option, and the temperature here in australia is quite moderate anyaway. here is my question. i am going to be keeping my new guinea pigs in a shed of sorts. It is in the bottom storey of our house, level with the backyard. It is enclosed on three sides with one open side, so is protected from any breeze and is always partially in shade. I was thinking of building a C&C cage and placing it on a table in this 'shed'. my question is would a C&C cage be strong enough to hold out any cats that may come wandering through the yard? there are a few that venture from other peoples yards every now and then. other than this there are not really any other animals that would pose a threat in our area.

lol i dunno but if the c&c cage was strong enough to keep cats out then remeber a roof on it... haha u know what now im wondering. cuse theres a lot of kitties in my neighborhood and i wanna know now too if it will keep them out?!

How about a roof to keep them safe from rain? I think you must have thought of that by now, but just had to ask. What you'll want to do is make a lid with either cable-tied cubes or closetmaid shelving. You can take a masterlock and secure the cover. That way, nothing can get inside. =)

do you have any pictures?? Im a little confused
