My pigs were being babysat while I was on vacation and came back itching. I've treated them with ivermectin and I've gone to the vet previously and they gave me flea treatment. Neither of them are working what should I do now.

How did you treat them with ivermectin? How strong was the solution (either in percent or in mg/ml)? How much did you give? How many times did you give it, and how far apart.

If they don't have fleas, don't treat them with flea treatment. You can see fleas -- small dark bugs that crawl really fast, and maybe jump. And they'll leave flea dirt -- small black specks that will turn red if you put them in a drop of water.

I hope you didn't give them Frontline. It isn't suitable for guinea pigs.

5mg per ml. I treated them with 7cc or .7 cc my syringe is faded. I used it two times in the past a little over a week apart and it's been about a month now and I've treated them only once

Ivermecting requires at least three treatments, 7 days apart, to hit all the life cycles of the parasite. So if you didn't do the third, you let the critters get re-established.

Here's the dosage chart for that strength of ivermectin. If you've been giving .7 cc, you've been way overdosing it.
