I just broke a bone in my left foot. Ouch. And the doc ordered me to lie down 23 hours per day. Yay! *freaks out*

Thank you. *L* Sadly, my pigs don't come near me if they have a choice. And I have to lie around for at least one week... which I won't be able to do cause I have a gazillion things to do.

I'm assuming you have a hairline fracture? My six year old had the same. Take the doctors advice and DON'T MOVE it. If it doesn't heal correctly, they sometimes have to re-break and cast it....now doesn't THAT sound like fun?!?! Enjoy your leisure time!

No, it's not a hairline - a whole piece broke off the bone. And I HAVE to work - I have a deadline for my book at the end of June.

Thank you everyone! There's no familiy member near me - they're all more than 100 km away. And I broke it by stumbling over a fitness bike. *GGG* I always knew sports would kill me one day.

Hm-m-m-m....I have been missing Germany something awful. Can you imagine if I went to my hubby and said that we need to go to Germany to help out an injured cavy slave. LOL Actually he really wants to go back too. He keeps bringing it up about how much we enjoyed being there. Too bad we can't afford the plane tickets. Anyway, maybe there is a store that will deliver the groceries to you. Good luck, Teria!

I broke my tibia AND my fibula on april 18 and i just got out of my cast and it is very hard to walk around i had a full leg cast!!! I hope you dont it sucks when you get it off you knee hurts really bad!! Sorry you broke your leg!! have you tried putting ice on your leg?? It really works!!

P.S.~I broke my leg on a trampoline if anyone has one i would get rid of it!! Even if you have the side protectors!! I just fell on someone one the trampoline and i broke 2 bones!! and the doctors and nurses said 3/4 of the people that go in to ER that were on a trampoline did it right on the trampoline!!! they didnt fall off!! (Sorry i just had to tell everyone! I am not tring to steal this tread)

I'm sorry you got hurt, NewAtThis. A4PigHome, my foot's fine, thank you! I had to lie around for a week but I'm able to limp now. My friend will come and help me clean the cage on Thursday but I managed everything else just fine. Thanks for asking!
