I just built this for my two pigs. They have a 2x7, so they still have lots of room to run.
[GuineaPigCages.com] Is this safe? or is it too high?
It's five grid spaces high, and the pigs jump off. I just added a huge fluffy pillow that's as high as the coroplast.
underneath I have :

[GuineaPigCages.com] Is this safe? or is it too high?two hidies ( made out of carboard boxes covered in fleece) and then under the ramp I have the pellet plate, where both the pigs seem to enjoy hiding at the moment.
Is the additional half level safe? Eventually I want to make another 1x2 loft right beside, at grid height though.

just a note, I lifted the ramp to get a view of the underside.

It looks okay to me, but personally I would add some kind of barrier or wall to the edge so that they can't fall/jump off and injure themselves.

Lucky piggies with such a large cage!

I have ZERO grids left, otherwise I would've added more. I cann get some more probably next month when I get paid, but if it's okay for now then I'm going to leave it.
