My piggy sometimes munches on his bedding...not soiled pieces, but fresh new pieces. Is this ok? Will it hurt him?

I was wondering about that too. My guinea pig does it too every now and then, but I think he eats both soild and dry pieces... He still eats regular food too though, and he doesnt have any diarrhea.

Small and occasional nibbles won't do any harm with most beddings. But if you're using corn cob bedding, it could be very dangerous as it swells up inside them and can cause a blockage. It also gets mould quickly which isn't good for them. For these reason corn cob bedding isn't recommended for guinea pigs.
