Hopefully this is in the right area, I couldn't decide as it might be a medical issue.
How many poops are guinea pigs supposed to produce a day ? I find that as soon as I clean out their cage, there are LOADS of poops and already a few wet areas within a few hours. I do have 6 piggies, but they have lots of space and there seems to be droppings everywhere.
I noticed today when fussing one of my piggies. I had her on my lap and the past few times she had peed on me. She is one of my pigs that don't really give a warning so I have been putting her back in her cage after a reasonable time, so she can go the toilet. As soon as I put her back in her cage, she had 4 poos at once and also peed. She then walked over to the other piggies and again there were more droppings (I think 3). Other than this she is looking healthy, popcorning, doing zoomies, eating and drinking and so are my other piggies. So my question was how much are guinea pigs supposed to excrete every day on average ? Is this normal ? If not is there anything I can do to help ?

As long as their urine and stool look normal I wouldn't worry. Pigs are constantly eating so they are always going to the bathroom. A poopy pig is a healthy pig as long as their output looks normal!

The poops look normal, and their urine does although they don't have fleece bedding, only under their hidey houses and the urine I've seen there looks normal. I can't tell the difference between the poops, and the only thing that worries me if one of the piggies had a problem with pooing it would be hard to tell which one, as there are 6 of them.
