Is there something wrong with Cinnamon?

I have been reading the different posts and checking out the pictures for a while now, and I am beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with Cinnamons. Everyone's piggies seem to be playful and seemingly mellow for laptime. In the pictures the piggies all look laid back and mellow. Cinnamon is a total spaz. He won't sit still for a minute. I have gotten a couple pictures of him but he just won't stay still. Laptime?? What is that??? All he wants to do is run around and inspect everything. He is not a cuddler. He's a really good piggy but will he ever mellow out or could that just be his personality? He's not afraid of us and had no problem now with being picked up.

How old is Cinnamon? If he is a young cavy, he should calm down as he gets older. If he is a piggy aged 1+, it is probably just his personality, but he still could calm down enough for laptime as he gets older. try increasing the amount of time you hold him for each day... say 1 minute for the first two days, 2 minutes the two days after that, 3 minutes the two days after that etc. This way, he may learn to chill out a bit. If it's not having any effect after 2 weeks, just try to fuss him up in one of his calmer moments rather than pick him up and sit him on your lap!

Not all piggies are snugglers/cuddlers. Laptime is for our benefit as they could care less about it anyways. I have a couple of pigs who would rather go exploring than get be cuddled, so I just let them explore for awhile then give them a good snuggle in a towel on my lap and then return them to their cage.

My Simon is not a cuddler, at all. He is like a ladybug that you have to keep switching hands with because he won't stay still. He dosn't like to be held still and knows when I pick him up, it's my cuddle time, so he chitters at me.

Thanks for the responses :) I know cats very well but piggies are totally new to me.
