I am so excited! I am picking up my guinea pig tomorrow. i have one little issue. This is the only time that the foster mom had time to meet me. I am not going to be home for the weekend. I am going to be at a friend's house. I have already set up a big c&c cage here at home and everything, but I really dont want to leave him alone for the weekend with my parents. Especially since he is just moving in. I was wondering if I could get some advice on this matter.
I could buy a 'temporary' cage and set that up for him for the weekend and then transport him again to his new cage at home. But I don't know if this will be too stressful- traveling so much in just a couple of days.
What do you guys think?

He should be fine in a small cage for the weekend.

But he'll likely be traumatized by the move, so don't handle him much, and provide something in the cage that he can hide under (eagles in the house, you know -- have to protect him!).

Got it. Thank you! I have his cage set up so nicely at home. I may just move some of the huts and little hidey things into another cage. I just feel bad moving him around so much. I really want to minimize the trauma
