Is She The Runt or Did Her Growth Get Stunted?

I was noticing today that Streaker seems to be smaller than her sister. Is it possible that her growth got stunted or is she the runt of the litter? I never noticed any size difference when she was first born or even over the last few months. But now its a noticable difference. I don't have a scale to weigh her on, but she still eats, looks and plays like shes healthy.

I believe that aome antibiodic can stunt growth if givin to young pigs, was she ever on antibiodics?

A small kitchen scale can be bought a Walmart for under $20. Its a good idea to weigh your pigs weekly. Most times they loose weight before they start displaying any other symptoms of illness.

As a rule, baby guinea pigs should gain weight, not loose weight or stay the same. Are they on Alfalfa hay and Alfalfa based pellets? This is good for growing cavies.

No she hasn't been on anitbiotics at all. And as for the alfalfa, she gets a mix of that and timmy everyday as well as a variety of fresh greens. But I will look into getting a kitchen scale.

I've always assumed that my Cocoa was a runt. She's small for a guinea pig and seems to have stopped growing. My other girl, Petal, is at least six months older than her, still growing, and is already bigger than Cocoa. Of course, I have no way of confirming this, but I've always thought Cocoa must have been the runt of the litter. She's still cute though!
