I've checked the food lists at GuineaLynx but don't see mint listed. I have a lot in my back yard. Does anyone know (no guesses please) if mint is safe and in what quantities?

Thanks.

I have a gp book called "A new owners guide to guinea pigs" Its by Karen Bawoll and has the aspca seal of approval. In it is a list of plants that are poisonus to gps. I just checked and it says absolutly nothing about mint. There are so many diferent plants that Ive never heard of like the jimsonweed. I think that if mint was poisonus they would have written it down.

FYI: The ASPCA seal of approval means absolutely nothing. It's something one just applies for and buys. Many books with that 'seal' contain a lot of junk and bad advice.

My pigs really like it. We have it growing along the house and I tried it out last summer. No problems and it smells good in the house when they're munching.
