What is that? Don't you have coroplast walls to keep in the bedding? If you think things are getting too messy, then you can try switching to fleece.

i have coroplast walls but when they run the shoot the bedding right over the cave walls and all over the place

Is it like cling film? If so, I would not reconmend it. They may even take a nibble at it which will be bad. They are going to make a mess no matter what - you may just have to hoover more often. OR you can try looking for mesh cubes - I think they would be perfect for you. :cheerful:

I would advise against using it. It may reduce ventilation in the cage, which you don't want to do. How high are the coroplast walls?

Plastic wrap is the same as cling film.

No don't wrap your cage in that. The GPs will eat it and it could kill them.

Your best bets are to deal with the mess until either you switch to fleece or get mesh cubes.

You can raise the coroplast walls too, by cutting scraps and sliding them in place between the grids and tray.

What is this fleece you are talking about? Are you saying to line the coroplast with fleece?! I'm lost.

they mean buy fleece insted of bedding

Yes, instead of using loose bedding like careFresh or Aspen, some of us use fleece.

Is it hard to clean? This is news to me!

And how often do you clean it?:?:

I think but dont quote me on this but, I think you can just wash it.

Probally as often as you clean a normal cage.

:)

I'm sorry if I seem just flat out stupid, but do you just need to cut it up in to little pieces (the fleece) or do you buy one blanket (say my cage is 2x3) to fit the bottom of the cage?

1 piece to cover the bottom of the cage with something more absorbent like towels, newspaper, puppy pads, etc under it to absorb the pee.

But do you just wash it when its dirty in the washer or what?

You can buy fleece at fabric stores like hobby lobby, or even walmart if they have a craft department.

Melodypig, try doing a forum search on fleece, there is alot of information on it.
