Is Basswood OK?

Here is the reason I am asking this, my husband is a Lure builder (wooden fishing lures) and he uses basswood...There are so many shavings after he is done..I was wondering if I could either use the shavings or the scrap wood...But I am not sure? I have not used it, so dont worry... I currently use Aspen bedding for the piggers...

I just wanted to make sure, to see if its ok?

Is there a site where it states "safe wood for pigs"?

Another reason was I was going to use the scrap to make steps for their ramps (right now they have fleece ramps) But I thought it would be easier with steps...

I'm not sure about this. Have you posted this on Guinea Lynx? Or maybe one of the mods can help you.
