I'd like more information on the ingredient that is the carcinogen in Kaytee Complete. I've never heard that before and would like to research it. I would not recommend Mazuri for any guinea pigs other than those 6 months or younger or nursing females since adults should not have the alfalfa in their diets. Even timothy pellets should be limited to no more than 1/8 cup per day.
A good quality alfalfa-based pellet is BETTER than a poor quality timothy one, as long as the quantity is limited to 1/8 cup per day. A good quality timothy pellet is ideal, but the Mazuri 5664 is definitely superior to anything Kaytee produces.
