is advantage safe?

A few people have suggested using advantage to treat my guinea pigs lice (not fleas..lice) But when i asked to call and get a price on it, the pharmacist said that she was worried aobut me using it in case i used to much, and she has never heard of such a thing befor..so, anyone ever used it succefuly or know of someone who has?

you might want to look for another vet than if she;s never heard of using advantage for pigs. Im pretty sure its safe, especially since it was reccomended from this site.

ok ya, i just read a bunch of info on the subject, i'm convinced advantage is the way to go. It wasn't the vet that said this, it was the pharmacist. she said they normaly treat with vermectin.
