Introduction

Hi all

I was wondering if some one out there can help me. I have already got a 5 month old gp (male) and I have just rescued a 1 year old male gp. Is it safe to try and introduce them as I am sure they will be better with the company of each other, or are they too old to introduce.

Hello. You need to quarintine them first. You can't just introduce them. Read this for more info https://www.cavyspirit.com/sociallife.htm#Neuter. Read the quarintine bit and then the introductions bit. (Look on the menu at the right hand side)

hello.

instead of repeating what has been said, i will just say to read the websites. they are really good.

just be cautioned that as the younger piggie matures, he may become aggresive toward to the older piggie even if he is not right now.

but usually aa younger/older pair work out great. just dont try to introduce and female piggies to them.
