introducing new piggie

I just introduced a new piggie to my male. this one is also male it took them a little time but are getting used to each other( i hope) my question is how long did it take some of your piggies to get used to each other and also yourself and the new one(fuzzball) sweeks alot when Gizmo comes close to him and fuzzball has been breathing hard( no other signs ) could that just mean he's still scared of gizmo? anyone with info who has intro'd a second piggie would be appreciated thanks

ps we've had new one for about a week.

The breathing hard sounds like a symptom of a URI, which can be fatal. I would take him to the vet immediatly. Did you quarantine? Because the URI could have spread to your other piggy...

i did quarentine.i was hoping it didn't sound like a uri cause he didn't have any other syptoms,but i'll take him to vet thanks

Fingers crossed it isn't! So, is he eating and moving around ok?

yeah he is eating and moving around gizmo goes up to him and wiggles and struts and them he kinda hides but he is eating everything we give him. his bm's are pretty normal although i just found one that had what looked like a little mucus or something in it.
