Introductions Introducing females

I have two adult females who get along pretty well. Once in a while they seem to get irritated with each other (what roommates don't) but overall they get along. I'm about to expand their cage and have thought about bringing in another female. I've read the instructions on how to do introductions. Most of the threads here that deal with problems with introductions seem to involve males. I guess females do better with a newcomer but does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with bringing a new female into an existing pair or herd?

I about to this myself and my guinea pigs do the same too but as far as i have read it is the same as intro in any new pig.
1. clean the cage to where their is no scents of the piggies
2. intro the new pig with your old piggies in area where the old pig's dont have domincen over.
3. watch for sign of fighting and blood
4. hope everything goes well :D

hopefully someone will add more to this

I advise being patient-- it can take months for pigs to settle into a relationship. Once you put them together leave them together.
