Introducing a new member to 4 piggies

I have 4 male cavies, which are all blood brothers. I am planning on expanding my C&C cage (currently 12.5 sq ft-->25 sq ft) and adding maybe one or two more piggies. My question is that if I were to bring a new member into the cage, will the 4 brothers get along with him? When I do introduce the new cavy, would I let all 4 of them meet the new guy at the same time (during floor time...)? Or should I let each brother meet him one at a time to see if they get along? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Personally, I think you are currently lucky that all 4 pigs get along. I would not risk adding another male to the mix. How old are the 4 that you have?

If you do decide to add more, it should be all at once. But you need to know you are very much risking that they will STOP getting along no matter what, even if you pull out the new one or two. Adding a new pig WILL upset their established social hierarchy. They will all start all over again on repositioning who is who in the zoo. If any one of them decides that they are tired of being #2, #3, or #4 and want to 'up' their position -- and this is ALMOST a guarantee, then they will use this as an opportunity to do so. I suspect it would get pretty ugly.
