Bonding Introducing a bonded pair with another bonded pair?

I'm considering adopting 2 bonded females. I already have 2 bonded females. Would it be acceptable to do proper introductions on neutral ground and have a herd, rather than 2 pairs (as long as intros go well, of course)? Does anyone have experience with this? Any advice?
