Introductions Introducing 2 Bonded Pairs

Has anyone ever introduced two bonded pairs, both female? How did it go? I have two female 9 month olds (approx) who are extremely close. I am looking into adopting a mom and female baby. How do you think that would go?
I tried to adopt another guinea pig a while back, but the new one was extremely aggressive with my two so I had to rehome her. She was much bigger though and had never lived with another pig.

How pigs will get along depends mostly on their individual personalities. Do you have a rescue organization nearby that you could bring your pair into for a meet and greet with potential pigs? This has been very effective for adding to my herd.

Having a larger cage will also help the pigs get along well. How big of a cage do you plan on having them in?

I have to agree with SurfingPigs. It totally depends on the individual animals. But, with bonded pairs, at least they have a history of getting along with another animal, as opposed to a lone pig as you had before. I had a bonded pair of two yr. old sows and introduced a bonded pair of baby sisters who had lived with their mom and two other baby sisters. I did all according to the rules, neutral territory, cleaning cage and having multiple entranced boxes and plenty of them. It went very well and they all got along right away and continue to do well together, with only the occasional spat.
