i have a boar that i have had a little over 1 year. he was a tiny baby when i got him. i recently purchased a new baby boar. apprx 6 weeks. i have introduced them to each other with absolutly no fighting. they both actually were scared of each other at first then in about 10 minutes they were sniffing each other, eating together, and even in the same house together snuggled up to each other. i have been keeping a close eye just in case, but its been about 3 hours and nothing has happened. now the baby is in the house and the older boar is outside. they act like they have been together forever. is this normal for them not to squabble? do you think they may squabble in the future? any info is apprieciated!

Welcome to the forums Wow, thats good to hear that they got along. Usually, you have to quarantine for 2 - 3 weeks, but it looks like it wouldn't have made a difference for you. Remember, its better to adopt than to purchase! What sized cage do you have?

right now i am working on a C&C cage. i just need the cloroplast. the cage is already put together and is 2 ft 5 in x 4 ft 10 in. but they are in a pet store cage that i have had my boar in, im not sure of the size. its a marchrio (SP?).
just checked on both pigs. they seem fine! im totally confused, and absolutly happy that there was no squabbling.

Some pigs just click.

I hope my two boy's get along that well after the quarintine period is over. ( I'm so excited to get my new baby I take him home January 9th.

That's awesome! Glad to hear it went so well.

I saw him he is so cute!

They might get into a few squabbles, but I very highly doubt that they will get into a big fight. It might get a little bumpy when the young one goes through puberty though. I'm not an expert though, because my two pig-headed(ignore the pun) boars refuse to get along. Actually, the younger one refuses to get along. Keep us posted on how it keeps going!

Glad to see that they are getting along! I hope when I get a second boar they will get along well. Definatley keep us updated.

that is good, my cavies get along like that also and they have a 4 year age diffrence.

I think that its better that you have a seperate age difference.

My two boars click too, and it's a huge difference, almost 5 years difference.

So maybe I should get an older Boar..

You're lucky. My girls squabbled so long (and a terrible eye injury) I was unsure if I would ever be able to put them together. Thank goodness they are together now.
