Interested in fleece items?

I have been thinking....I love to sew, and I love to see guinea pigs happy, so I thought it would be cool to set up a website and stuff and sell things for guinea pigs (and perhaps other animals if they would be similar products to sew) made of fleece or other material. Today I sewed up a fleece futon cover and put it over a futon made out of a grid, it looks so nice! I also made a hammock, and am going to be making more things, and am getting cotton batting soon so I will be making even more things! Yes, I know, spoiled guinea pigs, but I can't help it!

So, I was wondering if any of you were interested in any of these fleece items? I would be offering just about anything, like hammocks, cozies, blankets, pillows, futons, futon covers, cage liners, etc. Part of the money will go to a good piggie cause, I really want to donate part of the money to a good rescue of some sorts. I still have to figure out if I can make a cuddle cup correctly, but I can make a lot of other things.

So, anyone out there interested in anything? I might as well know now.

Oooo...I will! Pillows and cozies would be cool, as well as the cage liner. how much would a pillow, cozie and/or a cage liner be?

These are the prices I have worked out for the cage liners, down to the bone, including $3 towards a guinea pig rescue.

2x3-

Both sides printed fleece-$36.55
Both sides solid fleece-$31.30
One side printed, one side solid-$33.92

2x4-

Both sides printed fleece-$46.67
Both sides solid fleece-$$39.75

2x5-

Both sides printed fleece-$56.54

I can figure it up for any other measurements if you have a cage with a half a cube on it's length or you have an upper level or something.

For futon covers, I have $3 for solids, $4 for one side solid one side printed, and $5 for printed fleece. This comes with safety pins to close up the one opening, that way you can easily unhook the safety pins and slide the futon cover off of the grid to pop it in the washer if it gets dirty. This is just one layer of fleece on each side of the grid, I could put cotton batting in it to make it softer if you wanted.

If you wanted a grid with the futon cover (if you bought just a regular futon cover you'd have to use your own grid for the actual futon part), it would be $1 more.

For hammocks, they are 22" square, folded over into a triangle and sewed. They are the same prices as the futon covers.

I can also make a donation to a guinea pig rescue for an extra $2 per item, or I can donate whatever amount you would like.

I haven't worked out how to make the sides of the cuddle cups yet, but I can do pillows which are like cuddle cups without the sides, ha ha. Also, I am going to make padded tubes for guinea pigs to crawl through or lay in.

Could you tell me the inside measurements of your 3x4? That would help out a ton, and it would help me get the prices as low as I could for you.

i would love one of those! I was thinking of making a futon and hammock myself but it be easier to buy one (i am not a great sewer) Do you make cozzies also? How much would shipping be to Rhode Island?

Oh, and also, what is a futon made out of? It's probably a dumb question, but I just want to know. Is it a bent grid?

yes it is just a bent grid with fleece or other material over it
